Guerard, Henri
1846-1897

Henri Charles Guerard began his artistic career as a print maker before setting himself up as an illustrator. He executed over 600 etchings and devoted considerable effort to color engraving. Guerard focused on portraits, genre scenes, landscapes and florals and achieved considerable renown as a decorator of fans.
